A real vintage gem!

Hofner's successor to the 500/5 bass from the mid sixties. A beautiful piece, full of all the vintage charm one could want; For instance, the tone pots operate in the opposite direction (an original-spec appointment!) At the neck pocket, marks consistent with heavy glue residue removal likely indicate a neck reset has already been performed, a commonly needed job on most Hofner models of this age.

Plenty of great road rash and patina on display from the past 60 years, but overall in great condition and playing very well indeed!

Includes period correct Selmer hard case - perhaps even original with the sale, as Selmer  were the UK distributor for Hofner at the time (see "Hofner Foreign" label in pics.)
